21st Annual Academic Achievement Awards

On Sunday, May 13, 2018, the Association of Professors and Scholars of Iranian Heritage will be holding its twenty-first annual graduation ceremony honoring academic achievements by students of Iranian heritage who will be graduating in the 2017/2018 academic year.
During the ceremony, students and their families will have the opportunity to meet scientists, scholars, and professors of Iranian heritage who are faculty or researchers at various universities in California and elsewhere, and who have agreed to serve as mentors to the honored students. All attending graduates will receive certificates. Several special sponsored awards will be issued to the graduating students who have demonstrated an outstanding track record in the pursuit of their academic goals.

Time: Sunday, May 13, 2018 – 3:00 to 6:00 PM

Requirements
Nominations: Nominated students should be graduating in the 2017/2018 academic year (summer 2018 included). Applicants can be nominated by anyone including themselves. The reviewing committee has the right to evaluate and assess applications based on academic performance, scholastic aptitude, class participation, on-campus activities, extra-curricular activities, and other qualities that bespeak of one’s character and good standing, and positive equities.
Categories:
I: High School Graduates with Outstanding SAT scores and GPA’s
II: Outstanding College Graduates (B.S. or B.A.)
III: Advanced Degree Graduates (Ph.D., all doctoral degrees such as MD, DDS, PharmD, JD, and Master’s Degrees)
IV: Post-Doctoral Associates
Requirements for APSIH Graduation Award 2018

The Reviewing Committee consists of a selected group of senior academicians who have chosen to be anonymous and the review process is done in a confidential manner and remains under seal and only shared with the applicants prior to the event. Those invited will have their name advertised on our site and our event booklet.

Deadline for Applications and Receipt of documents: May 4th, 2018.

Important Information
You are allowed to upload only one PDF file using the application submission webpage provided above. Thus, please combine all your supporting documents into one PDF file and upload that file. As you prepare your supporting documents, please note that we accept the copies of your grade report (unofficial transcripts), copies of any awards or certificates received, copies of your acceptance letters for future degrees, etc. For those receiving degrees, you may also include a recommendation letter from your advisor.
