Dr. Kamran Abedini has been the Professor of
Industrial and
Manufacturing Engineering
Department, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, since January 1987.
He received his PhD in Engineering from
University of Southern
California and has been Faculty Advisor of student chapters at Cal Poly Pomona:
Institute of Industrial Engineering, Persian Society and Culture and Indonesian
Society.
Dr. Abedini has been a member of
the ECONOFICIENT Engineering and Management Consulting for
over 20 years with experience in Productivity Engineering, Human Engineering and
Ergonomics, and whose list of clients include government and fortune 500
companies. He is also the Regional Vice President for the National
Institute of Industrial Engineers as well as Vice President of Human Factors and
Ergonomics Society (L.A. Chapter). He has authored multiple publications
and his latest book is titled “Principles of Industrial Ergonomics” and is the
recipient of extensive number of Honors and Awards including:
Institute of Industrial Engineering 2007 regional Outstanding
Faculty Advisor.
Institute of Industrial Engineering 2004 National Outstanding
Faculty Advisor of the Year.
Cal Poly Pomona University 2004
Outstanding Advisor.
Honorary Design Associate of
the Art Center College of Design.
