APSIH in conjunction with KIRN 670 AM is proud to
bring to you "Marz Hay-e Danesh", Friday nights Beginning 9 PM (PST),
starting March 30th, 2007. Click here for list of previous
and upcoming episodes. Objective of this program include:
1. Increasing
the knowledge and awareness of Iranian community about the new discoveries,
processes and idea in different fields of scientific endeavors. In each program,
a faculty member will be interviewed to learn from their experience. The idea is
to increase and update the public awareness about the latest trends in different
fields of science.
2. Interviewing
successful scientists, entrepreneurs etc. to learn from their life experience
and provide an incentive for young students who want to choose a filed of study
for their college education. This type of activity can provide a road map to
college-bound students. Having a proper role model is an essential ingredient
for the success and development of a new immigrant community.
3. Interviewing
successful students and learn from their accomplishments. Successful students
will become a role model for the rest of the community. Other students can
follow the success of their role models.
4. Providing
information about availability of scholarships, the proper way of choosing
college majors and the pros and cons of different field of study.
