Dr. Shahdad Azmoon speaks to a panel of cardiologists and imaging specialists at the 2nd Annual Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography Scientific Sessions in Washington DC,  July 2007 on the association of coronary calcium and aortic valve calcification.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Dr. Shahdad Azmoon presents research findings on the significance of coronary artery stenosis in patients with low coronary artery calcium using 64 Slice Cardiac Computed Tomographic Angiography, at 30th Annual Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions' Scientific Sessions on May 11th, 2007.  Dr. Azmoon's interests in cardiac imaging have led him to extend his Cardiac Imaging Research Fellowship with focus on 64 slice cardiac CT Angiography.

 


Dr. Shahdad Azmoon presents findings on behalf of the ACUITY Investigators as part of the ACUITY - Smokers Trial on May 10th, 2007 at the 30th Annual Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention's Scientific Sessions in Orlando, Florida.

 


 

Dr. Mohamad Navab at the 56th Annual American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions, March 2007. Dr. Navab's research findings was accepted for presentation at this years conference held in New Orleans.  Dr. Navab gave a superb presentation to an audience of cardiologists and critical care specialists on High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.

 

 

 

 

 


Dr. Behrokh Khoshnevis on CBS News Feb 28th, 2007.  Dr. Khoshnevis is an internationally renowned scientist.  His research publications & inventions have received worldwide publicity in media such as New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Sunday Times, Business Week, Der Spiegel, New Scientist, Discover and Wired Magazines, and national and international television and radio networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, Discovery channels of US, Canada, Germany and BBC World News.  The automated construction invention, "Contour Crafting", was selected in 2006 as one of top 25 best inventions from more than 4000 candidate inventions by the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the History Channel’s Modern Marvels program.

 


APSIH congratulates Dr. Fleur Tehrani on her progressive achievements.  Dr. Tehrani was recently invited to be the keynote speaker ("Research on Mechanical Ventilation Leads to Invention Now Used Worldwide") of this year's "Graduate Women in Science" (GWIS) conference, held at Chapman University on Saturday March 10th, 2007.  The purpose of the yearly conference organized by GWIS is to encourage student research in different areas of engineering and science at undergraduate and graduate levels.  Interested in participating, download application here GWIS.
