No doubt by now you have heard of President Trump's Executive Order (EO) proposing a 90-day suspension of visas and immigration benefits to all nationals of Iran, Syria, Sudan, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Libya. Anthony Romero, Executive Director of ACLU directed his organization to try to stay the ban, as many state governors and law makers of all parties stood by protestors against this unjust, un-American order that singles out certain national origins whereas statistics shows their people were never (Zero count) involved with killing even one American in the US (1975-2015).

As the Association of Professors and Scholars of Iranian Heritage (APSIH), we also would like to raise our voice and announce that we do not stand with religious, race, and nationality bigotry. We strongly condemn this discriminatory order that is not only risking the interests of the United States, but also puts a strong burden on the members of our community. This EO is affecting immigrant communities everywhere and we would not stay silent till reconsideration of this EO by the White House.
